Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Safeway Electrics is fully insured and highly experienced, and holds every registration the work requires: a qualified ‘A’ Grade Electrician and Registered Electrical Contractor #20641 with Energy Safe Victoria, plus Master Cabler A046404 for data and communications work and Registered Security Installer #949-664-90 for alarm systems.
How do quotes work?
We assess the job, then give you a clear itemised price up front. You decide before any work starts, and the price we quote is the price you pay.
Which suburbs do you service?
We're based in Fraser Rise and cover Melbourne's West, including Caroline Springs, Taylors Hill, Burnside Heights, Deanside, Aintree, Rockbank, Plumpton, Melton, Hillside, Sydenham, Truganina, Tarneit, Point Cook, Werribee and more. If your suburb isn't in the list above, give us a call anyway.
Can you install a chandelier in a high stairwell void?
Yes, it's one of the things we do most, and you can see dozens of them in our gallery. We handle the access equipment, the ceiling fixing rated for the weight of the fitting, the drop height and the final levelling so the piece hangs perfectly centred.
Do I get a Certificate of Electrical Safety?
Yes. All work is completed to Australian Standards and a Certificate of Electrical Safety is issued for the work where required.
Can you install any brand of EV charger?
Yes. We install Tesla Wall Connectors and all the major brands including BMW, myenergi Zappi and Ocular, with the correct isolation, cable sizing, load management and grid compliance for your switchboard.
My switchboard has old ceramic fuses. Should I upgrade?
Almost certainly. Old rewireable fuses don't protect people the way a modern safety switch (RCD/RCBO) does. They protect the wiring, not you. We'll inspect your board, explain what you actually need, and quote an upgrade with individual RCBOs and clear circuit labelling.
